What I learned from keeping quiet for a while
Spoiler: Silence isn't just emptiness. It's a fucking spell.
There are times when I no longer want to talk. Not because I have anything left to say, but because anything I said would be just more noise. Diluted magic. Words thrown into an already murky pool.
So sometimes I keep quiet. And there, in that hollow, things happen.
Welcome to this last article of August. The one that promises nothing. The one that doesn't call for action. The one that doesn't encourage you to move. The one that simply invites you to be quiet with me . And listen to what's left.
Silence is not emptiness. It is a sacred container.
We live in an era where we have to comment on everything, explain everything, justify everything. Even our spirituality. Even our rest. Even our emotions.
And yet:
Silence is where your true voice comes back.
Not the one who performs, who educates, who cares or who sells. But the one who vibrates . The one who feels . The one who whispers quietly: "You don't need to do more to exist."
Silence is not nothing. It's the moment when you come back to yourself , without witnesses, without an audience, without a mask.
And that's where the raw magic comes back.
What I saw while remaining silent
-
That some people only heard me when I screamed. And that I wasn't interested anymore.
-
That I had confused presence with productivity.
-
That my guides spoke louder in the silences than in the draws.
-
That sometimes, not responding is responding very loudly.
-
That the absence of content is sometimes the most powerful content .
See, I didn't disappear. I just went deeper . And when you dive, you come back with something other than pretty Instagram .
What you can do in your own silence
🌑 Listen to your raw voice
Not your social voice. Not the one from stories. The one in the morning. The one of tiredness. The one that complains or cries. She's your messenger. She's your magic.
📓 Keep a notebook without obligation
No organized journaling. Just a blank page. And when something comes up, you put it down. Not to be read. To be heard .
🔮 Do not do any rituals for a few days
Yes, you read that right. Do nothing. Let the magic rearrange itself . See what's left when you stop drawing cards for everything. And watch your natural power return.
🕯 Light a candle for nothing
Not for an intention. Just to create a space. A breath. A presence. To look at the flame. And let it look at you.
Silent ritual: "I stand in the dark without seeking the light"
What you need:
-
A black or white candle
-
A space without noise (or with natural silence)
-
An anchor sentence (of your choice)
What you do:
-
You light the candle. You say nothing.
-
You sit. You stay. You breathe. You don't guide anything. You observe what comes.
-
When you feel ready, you quietly say a sentence that comes to you. Or you remain silent. Both are magical.
Example sentences:
-
"I find myself."
-
"I have nothing to prove."
-
“My silence is my sanctuary.”
Then you blow out the candle. And you keep inside you what vibrated. Even if you can't explain it.
In conclusion: the power of withdrawal
You don't have to be visible all the time to exist. You don't need to justify slowing down. You can disappear only to come back better. Or never come back the same way.
And if we told you that silence was suspicious... it's because it is dangerously powerful .
So keep yours. Or share it with those who know how to listen.
I'll be there. In the shadows. Watching for the next truth that will come quietly.
See you in September. Or not. Silence has its own rules.
